The Sandusky/Erie County, Ohio community boasts an exceptionally diverse lifestyle and economy. Our location on the southern shore of Lake Erie, midway between Cleveland and Toledo, offers small town living, with the attributes of major urban centers within an hour's drive

The local economy consists of a highly diversified industrial base, which features automotive parts, bearings, machine tools, plastics and vinyl products, colorants, paints, and food processing equipment manufacturers, among others. Among the companies that have Erie County facilities are Delphi Corporation; I.C.I. Paint North America; FMC Foodtech; Bettcher Industries; Hanson Aggregates; Freudenburg NOK; and Akro-Mils.

Sandusky is also one of the premiere vacation destinations in the United States, due in great part to Cedar Point Amusement Park. This major amusement center has consistently been voted the number one amusement park in the United States, and features more roller coasters (16) and total rides than any other park in the world. The park draws in millions of visitors annually.

Life on the shores of Lake Erie, and close proximity the Lake Erie Islands, adds to the unique ambiance that the community enjoys.  During the winter months, visitors enjoy the many indoor water-parks in the community.

Agriculture, featuring a number of award winning wineries, also is big business in Erie County. Indeed, more than 50 percent of the county's land is devoted to farming.

Erie County also offers one of the better retail communities in Ohio, and although comparatively small in population, is one of the largest counties in the state in terms of retail dollars spent.

Erie County is also home to the Plum Brook Station of N.A.S.A.'s John H. Glenn Research Center; a facility that boasts some of the most unique space testing facilities in the world.

Whether you are visiting, or planning a relocation here, we can assure that you will have an enjoyable experience in Erie County, Ohio!
